Happy Friendship Day

Happy Friendship Day! ๐Ÿ’™

Gone are the days when friendships felt truly unconditional. I'm not saying those friendships no longer exist—they do—but they seem much rarer today.

Somewhere along the way, the meaning of friendship has changed. A true friend isn't someone who agrees with everything we do. A true friend is someone who guides us, stands by us, and has the courage to tell us when we're wrong. They don't just say "yes" to keep us happy; they say what we need to hear because they genuinely care.

As we celebrate Friendship Day, let's also remember our very first friends—our siblings and cousins. Before we stepped into the world and made friends of our own, they were the ones who shared our childhood, our secrets, our dreams, our victories, and even our silly fights. They taught us how to share, forgive, compete, protect, and laugh. We may have argued over the smallest things, but when it truly mattered, they stood by us without hesitation. They were the first people who knew us at our best and our worst, yet continued to love us just the same.

Friendships may begin by choice, but the bonds we share with siblings and cousins are life's first lessons in companionship. They remind us that the strongest relationships aren't built on constant agreement but on honesty, trust, acceptance, and being there for one another through every phase of life.

Here's to every friend who stood beside us, corrected us when we were wrong, celebrated our successes, lifted us in our failures, and made us better human beings. Those are the friendships worth cherishing.

Happy Friendship Day to all my friends, cousins, and siblings. Thank you for being a part of my journey and for making life richer with your presence. ❤️
