Relationships... some are beyond repair.
When ego walks into a bond, love slowly walks out.
There’s such a thin line between self-respect and ego, and the worst part is — we rarely notice when we cross it.
Sometimes we’re stuck in situations no one understands — not because they don’t care, but because they don’t even try to see.
Distance isn’t always created by time or space — sometimes it’s the silence, the cold shoulders, the lack of effort from the other side.
One-sided respect, one-sided effort — it drains you.
And when the ones closest to us fail to understand our side, it breaks something in us.
How’s that fair? It’s not. But maybe life isn’t meant to be fair — maybe it’s just meant to teach.
Still, it hurts — when you lose something not because you stopped caring, but because they did.
Is it ego to protect your peace, or is it self-respect finally waking up?
Wonderful perspective.
