Book Review # 177 Taurus Temptation (Written in the Stars Book 3): Sundari Venkatraman

Blurb:

Vidyut has a broken engagement behind him. But being the typical Taurus that he is, he isn’t fazed when his fiancee from the arranged match hands his ring back to him.

Into his life walks in Haasini, a successful entrepreneur in her own right. The Cancer woman brings a powerful dose of joie de vivre into the serious bull’s staid existence.

While the café owner struggles not to fall for the beautiful young lady, all because of the fact that she’s eight years his junior; he’s unable to help himself as his heart refuses to listen to his logical mind. While she has no qualms about admitting her feelings for him.

Just when things seem to fall in place for the couple, trouble brews from unexpected quarters, tearing them apart as it brings to the fore the jealous nature of the Cancer. While the bull moos loudly, the crab attempts to scuttle away.

Read the book to find out if they will ever find the happiness that Destiny is keen to bring to the Taurus man and Cancer woman.

My Take:

Simplicity and minimal characters along with strong plot and simple narration. A story that makes your heart dance and mind relate to the characters. All the emotions are justified and something we all feel. The story has something for everyone, be it a family bond or siblings or lovers.

Vidyut and Janani are engaged to be married and with a change in career his fiancee not very convinced throws an ultimatum to get back to job. When he doesn’t she returns the ring and breaks the engagement. Not fazed with what happened Vidyut works hard to fulfill his dreams and make it a success.

Haasini is a blogger who has worked very hard to make a name for herself. Dabbling in her online jobs and being successful in her own way she meets Vidyut and sparks fly. Just when they realize and get cozy with each other something that has a power to create a tiff happens. Will the lovebird sustain this? Or will the storm break them into pieces? Read the story to find out.

The chemistry between the leads leaves you spellbound and wanting for more. Writing a love story and weaving the special moments in a subtle way is something Sundari aces in. Beautifully written and a love story that leaves you with a smile on your face.
