Book Review # 176 Leo’s Desire (Written in Stars Book 2) : Sundari Venkatraman

Blurb:

Twenty-four going on twenty-five, Nishaan Ahuja refuses to take life seriously. Intelligent and highly educated, he’s slotted to become the VP of his father’s multi-billion-rupee construction business. Only, the Leo man insists on living on his own terms. He takes the identity of Shaan and goes to work as a farm manager.

Chaahat finds a quick-fix cure to her plumpness as she’s desperate to become a fashion model despite her parents’ objections. The Aries woman is stubborn, determined and fiercely competitive. There’s a hitch though. Her body refuses to cooperate as she continues to abuse it and is soon on the verge of breakdown.

The Lion is a know-it-all and has to impart advice. Will the Lamb realize that it’s all for her best?

Sparks fly in their love-hate relationship as Chaahat struggles to achieve her dreams with a lot of unsolicited help from Nishaan. Will the lovers be able to get together on their own terms despite the distance separating them and their interfering mammas?

My Take:

Star sign and traits of them is incorporated in this love story. A love story that’s perfectly imperfect. The leads are someone we would connect to. They are portrayed as the one with flaws, the ones who work towards making them a better person. They aren’t picture perfect and that’s why it makes them more endearing.

Nishaan is a handsome, well educated guy who’s wasting time by not taking life and work. His father tired of his antics throws an ultimatum to owe up to the business role of VP or leave house. He chose the later. Aiming to crave a niche for himself without the family name he takes up job as a farm manager.

Chahat has excelled her education and studied whatever her family desired. Armed with an MBA degree she now wishes to pursue her dreams of becoming a model. A little on the healthier side she works to lose weight quickly by not eating and smoking cigarettes.

What happens when two head strong people clash? Fall in love or hate each other? Read the book to find out.

The chemistry between the leads cracking. Both are strong, vulnerable and love their families too much. A story that has all ingredients of a romance fiction.

Rating:

5/5 for this.
