Book Review # 148 A Drop Of You : Krishna Chhetri

Blurb:

We become overtly colorless when our hearts aren't together; only when a soul finds its body, they sing and dance together to the colors of life.

Three closely knit people, Karma, Diana & Ghazal meet at the crossroads of life, unaware of the cosmic conspiracy and its comical destiny. Heart is their road, love is their journey and the soul, the final destination. Sailing on the tides of emotions, they encounter deceit, with a tinge of poison and drop of bliss.

Forever love; it is a myth? Or a reality? Is it stifling pain or undying love, that makes love eternal? Come, let us explore!

My Take:
A different love story that indulges and talks more about ghazals, philosophy and life as it happens. The emotions expressed are raw and not sugar coated. Amazing ghazals add more strength to the narration. A triangle love story, that talks more about the complexities of relationships and crossroads.

Ghazal, Karma and Diana form the triangle with Ghazal and Karma falling in love. Diana being a faithful friend and a part of Karma's life forever stands by him and supports him in spite of being in love with him. A story of friends ,friendship, love and emotions. Read the book to find out whether Ghazal and Karma have their happily ever after?

The book takes a while to grow on you as it starts with heavy duty discussions like philosophy, spirituality etc and also lots of poetry. I felt the emotions expressed were exaggerated and couldn't connect much with the characters either as I found them bland.

Maybe people who love romance and poetic combinations might find this interesting. A special mention for the author for being able to explore a love triangle in a different way.

I would rate this 2.5/5.
