Book Review # 143 Listen To Your Heartbeats : Sonika Shandilya
“The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.”
Sonam was stuck in a routine life, till she decided to take a solo trip. And it could not have started on a more rocking note. She bumped into Rann Vijay Rathore (RV) on a hilltop, and could not take her eyes off him. And even later, she kept thinking about him, till they met again.
With a fascinating twist in the tale, Sonam finds herself on a musical caravan with RV, Veer, Shiv and Aditi. Did Sonam's amber eyes compel RV to surprise her with the trip? And does it stay only a trip?
RV finds Sonam angelic and tries to become a better version of himself, only for her. But it distances Sonam from RV and she feels her world crumbling.
Can RV save his love in the nick of time? Will the gang of friends be able to find a road to their dreams?
This is a story of passionate dreams, unending friendship and a love that knows no bounds. This electrifying read will compel you to chase your dreams and make you Listen to Your Heartbeats.
My Take:
A dream we all keep dreaming. A life we all wish for. Unadulterated, pure and joyous. With no tomorrow to plan about and live each moment with all honesty and enjoy. the author has written about a gang of people who enjoy and take life as it comes.
A caravan we all wish to be a part of. Moments we all wish we would love to cherish. Yet practical life takes over and we do what is right and not what we wish to. I loved the free spirit and never give up attitude the book teaches.
Sonam after her disturbing past has decided to live life queen size. Seize moments and make memories. She finds a perfect partner in Rann Vijay Rathore (RV). The one she falls in love with and who tries to make all her simple dreams come true. With his band they start their caravan and keep moving places and enjoy life. But RV keeps a lot of things to heart and anger is his biggest enemy. Will RV find solace with Sonam? Or his anger becomes a wall between them? Read the book to find out.
A book that can cheer you, make you smile and believe in moving towards your dreams. The journey and the writing is infectious, like there are many moments when we would all wish to let go of the inhibitions and live life the way we want.
Maybe all what is written might not be easy to follow, but yes simple changes can be implemented. A rather different and breezy read.
I would rate this 4/5.
