A magic called Kishore Kumar
No, it's not his birthday. Nor is it his death anniversary.
Just happened to play some music on my laptop today — and one after another, the playlist served up his songs.
Kishore Kumar. 🎶
Sad. Happy. Romantic. Playful.
Every mood, every genre — he sang it all, and he sang it like he felt every word.
How did he manage to bring such depth, such range, such soul into every song?
That's what I keep wondering.
Today's singers, no doubt, are talented. But most often, they master a genre — a mood.
Kishore da? He was versatility personified.
He didn’t sing songs.
He lived them.
And maybe that’s the difference between being good and being legendary.
Between being special — and being truly irreplaceable.
You’re missed, Kishore da.
But never forgotten.
Because magic like yours… lives on forever.
