Book Review# 168 Truly Madly Crazily In Love: Esha Pandey
Blurb:
What
happens when you can't let your first love go?
What happens when you keep hoping that the one that got away, will be
yours again...forever?
Sue
is short, vivacious and dreamy. Viv is tall, spirited and focussed.
Dressed to the nines on School Social, she bewitches him. He kisses
her. She kisses him back. They fall in love. But the kiss that should
have sealed their love, becomes their undoing.
Sue
is truly, madly and crazily in love with him. There is no one like
Viv. She pines for him, but he can't be hers. Days go by and she is
still head over heals in
love with him.
When
she finally lets him go and is ready to start over, he walks into her
life again.
Hearts
are broken. Promises are shattered. Lives are wrecked. Love is
tested.
In
a tale transcending time, Sue and Viv weave a story of love like none
other. Will hope, trust and love win the test of time? From Lucknow,
to Delhi to London, will Sue finally have her happily ever
after?
My Take:
Sue And Viv strike a friendship in school. Over the period of time they come close and start falling in love. No amount of changes in life change their feelings for each other.
Sue is charming, intelligent lady who has dreams, she believes in and chases. She believes in happily ever after. Viv is dynamic and focused. The farewell party change their dynamics as they kiss each other. But the assumption of what the kiss could mean changes their chemistry. Both of them know their feelings, hope the other one feels the same, yet keep it to themselves fearing rejection.
With time they meet different people, fall in love yet aren't able to give their hundred percent. Their love for each other keeps running in the background for both of them. Years later they meet again only to realize their emotions, accept and be happy. But then what is love stories without villains and challenges? Will they get their happily ever after? Will this challenge make or break them apart? Read the book to find out.
A love story for all seasons. A story that spans over years; unconditional, unchanged and unfulfilled for years, yet so strong that it keeps coming back to themselves. The emotions doesn’t fade in fact become more deeper and intense. Very few stories withstand the test of time in life. I loved this journey of love from Lucknow where it was naive and innocent to Delhi where they realize the intensity when they meet again with their respective partners, and London where they meet only to realize their running away from feelings didn’t change anything.
The narration holds attention and the language is smooth and interesting. Once in the book you can’t put down before knowing the end.
I would rate this 4.7/5
