Book Review #99 Arranged Love Marriage : Kumar Ashutosh

Thank you Kumar for the review copy.

Blurb:

When two people with very different personalities are forced into marrying each other, the outcome is mostly not so pleasant. Bound by society, yet distant by heart, this newly wedded couple (Akash and Neha – our two main characters) seem worlds apart.

Faced by the challenges and misconceptions about each other, when hope is lost, and it seems like their marriage is shattering, can one moment of change make two strangers put aside their differences and fall in love?

Or will it cause everything to come crashing down?

My Take:

Very raw and gripping tale. The narration is the strength of the author. You can connect very strongly to the emotions he undergoes. A very nice take on marriage. Arrange marriages are common in India, but an attempt to make feel special by starting with reverse gear is commendable. Going step by step to make her comfortable in the relation, like the guy, giving her a chance to fall in love and all this after marriage is just wow..

Akash and Neha have an arranged marriage. Akash has always wanted to fall in love and get married, but never got a chance to. After being heart broken once he takes his own sweet time to recover and enters in an marriage arranged by his parents. They both stay out of each other's life and ways and as time progresses Akash decides to work on his arranged marriage. How they work on their relation? How their relationship progresses? What happens next? Read the book to find out.

Simple stories are the most difficult to write. Written from the male lead(Akash's) point of view, the story moves at a decent pace, the language and emotions are well described. You won't realise when you start feeling being a part of the story. A different love story.

I would rate this 4/5 for the simplicity and narration.
