Blurb:

Ravana has jeopardized the peaceful co-existence of the inner and outer earths. The divine scripts are in his custody and the demon king is invincible. Rama is tasked with the secret mission of securing the scripts and handing them back to their rightful owners. Assuming the identity of dasharatha’s son, Rama prepares for battle, aided by emissaries from the inner Earth kingdom of agartha and sages residing in Dandaka. Will this alliance between the kingdoms of Agartha and ko SA LA save humanity from an impending disaster? Why is Rama’s real identity kept a secret? Who has decided to reveal the secret about Rama’s origins and why? Was Sita the real reason Rama fought against Ravana? The Ramayana secret is Rama’s story, not as you know it But as it happened.

My Take:

Some books just leave you speechless. This year I have read quite a few ones which have left me spellbound. This is one of those. Many authors have written their version of Ramayana. THIS ONE HAS WRITTEN RAMAYANA AS IT HAPPENED. The story of the known characters in a way unknown to us,gave me goosebumps.

Now even I wonder what we knew for years now was true or the one I read now is. The best part of the narration is its very compact. Very crisp, to the point, yet all characters are neatly etched. Kudos to the writing abilities. The legacy and the authenticity of the epic is maintained in spite of a different perception..

Who is Rama? What we know about him till now was true? Who is Sita? Why was she abducted?  Are the people we painted as villains so long truly villains? Is there something we are missing? This book has answers to all these questions.

I liked the way their stories are shared. Overall a treat for mythological readers. The title absolutely justifies the story and the mystery that keep you hooked till the end. The takeaway for me was Kaikeyi and Ravan. My respect for the grew manifolds after this. So does for Lakshman, the one who is always considered as the shadow of Rama.

Grab a copy now and delve in the known Ramayan story in a very unknown way. I would rate this 4.7/5 .
