My Take:

Jab we Met with a South Indian set up, this book has all the ingredients of a fun read. A book that catches up pace with every page, so much masala and instances that most of us connect to The end is completely filmy.

Aashika, from a typical small village Valayapuri dreams of a high flying career, being independent and wishes to make her own decisions/ choices. Not to one to be stereotyped as typical village belly, she also had a boyfriend Aadhi. Their story is also the typical family rivalry etc. Enter Sanjay, the ones her parents chose. Oh I missed to say that, not the one to get married and become a homemaker in a small village she tries all the tricks in the books to shoo away all the prospective guys.
Sanjay and she meet, click and get acquainted well as both don't want to be tied down by their parents wishes. Sanjay wants to fall in love and get married. They both go with the flow. As they start spending time with each other things between them start changing. But will they allow and accept the change? Who will Aashika choose; Aadhi or Sanjay? Read the book to find out.

The language and writing style is pretty simple. I always feel simple things are more difficult to do. Loved the way the author narrated the story .It keeps you involved throughout and you form a connect with the characters. The suspense is built beautifully till the end. the highlight is the chemistry between the sisters and the one with Sanjay.

Rating:

I would rate this 4/5 for a simple lovely story that brings a smile on your face.
