The fusion of Egyptian mythology with science and fantasy, alongside the intricate weaving of different timelines, adds layers of depth and intrigue to the storyline. Dr. Razi's ability to blend these elements seamlessly must have contributed to the mesmerizing experience for readers. Moreover, the inclusion of technical jargon explained in accessible language helps readers navigate the complex world and concepts presented in the story.

The idea of colonizing Mars rooted in ancient Egyptian lore is particularly fascinating, offering a unique twist to the familiar trope of space exploration. It's evident that a lot of research and effort went into crafting such a rich and detailed narrative. The characters' investigative prowess and their journey to decode mysteries further add to the allure of the plot.

Overall, It’s a compelling read that not only entertains but also leaves a lasting impression on readers, lingering in their minds long after they finish the book.

Highly recommended.
Kavita Rhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01078637259596693273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7427731337213348871.post-37265955572611148282024-02-28T11:48:00.000+05:302024-03-01T11:58:31.746+05:30Book Review: 187 The Billionaire and the Stripper : Kyra Seth

Blurb:

She's so not my type.
They call me Saint Marcus.
I'm the nice Donovan brother. For no matter what happened, numbers and math never let you down. They stayed the same. And that fundamental fact defined many of his choices. He was the obedient son, the diligent student, the overachieving employee, the reliable friend. All he wanted in his life was routine and sensible discourse. All he craved in that same life was peace and quiet. And then his senior partner’s flighty daughter came home. And life as he knew it was never the same again…

Reality television villain and tabloid fodder, Vaani Jaishankar lived for the arclights. The notoriety, the glamour, the larger than life noise that came with it held her in thrall. Until the industry she loved and the people she trusted used and abandoned her. And now, she was back home. Darkening the doorstep of her childhood home, something she’d sworn she’d never do and working in her father’s accountancy firm…Could God just take her now already? One of her best work she has defined complex relationships second chances and people going through the worst times with ease and comfort that you almost connect to the character and feel yourself there.
She has put out raw naked emotions in a very simple language that somewhere touches a chord with the readers.
Hats off to the author for the sublime writing. This is more about people who second guess themselves who are a little under confident who need a little someone to say that go ahead we are with you.
Love Love Love this. ✨✨✨✨✨

Kavita Rhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01078637259596693273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7427731337213348871.post-74351649351809748362023-12-04T22:19:00.002+05:302023-12-05T07:56:18.196+05:30Out of Hibernation
Hola all,

Yes this space exists and I'm alive and breathing too😁. out to bat. An enigma that continued and stayed with us in our good, bad, worse
times.

Seeing him play the country comes to a standstill.
Heartbeats in mouth we all pray for him. His success is ours; his pains are

A captain who leads her team from the front. A strong passionate sportsperson who is equally feminine and vulnerable, the side she normally keeps hidden. She gets embroiled in a controversy and has to be bailed out that’s what the Board feels, to clean up her image. As if a sportsperson can’t have a personal life, can’t make mistakes or enjoy her life.

Enter Nikhil the one who is hired to help her clean up her “so called” image. He’s the one with responsibilities, who takes life very seriously, a very disciplined man who assumes her to be a brat and irresponsible. Although he has a crush on her and a biggest fan, he still judges her.

She’s a rebel and he’s a stickler for squeaky clean image. What happens when the titans clash? Heart break or HEA? Read the book to find out.

A very strong female character. She’s one of a kind. I guess it’s very rare to write about a sports female protagonist. That’s the USP of the book which gives the reader lots of situations to ponder about. Also, the media rather the paparazzi culture which we see around everywhere. Yes the ones who think all famous people don’t have right to have a personal life and are available for public consumption always and we have the right to give a media trial and pass a verdict is used well by the author very nicely.

Also a very beautiful way of incorporating the mindset of the parents to always judge their children and force their choices on them. Parents really need to understand and be a little more accommodating. Its ok to have a different taste or passion for the child to pursue. Nothing wrong and the least u can do is support them rather than putting them down and hitting them with words/actions when they are at their worst.

A series that’s handled a radically different friends, their POV and their life stories. Loved Loved Loved this.

5 💫💫💫💫💫
Kavita Rhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01078637259596693273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7427731337213348871.post-80966867245516648022023-01-11T17:39:00.006+05:302023-01-11T17:41:08.165+05:30Book Review 181 Wrong: Shilpa Suraj

Blurb:
<div aria-expanded="true" class="a-expander-content a-expander-partial-collapse-content a-expander-content-expanded" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #0f1111; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; overflow: hidden; padding-bottom: 20px; position: relative;">One wrong choice on the eve of her wedding has left Ananya married to one brother and in love with THE OTHER…

Ananya Saxena is the good girl who has always done the right thing. She is a dutiful wife, faithful daughter-in-law, fierce champion of the law. Except, in her heart was another phrase—reckless lover. An impossible choice for a good Indian girl. Duty had Ananya marry her best friend only to end up with a bitter, vengeful husband. Arvin Saxena is now a cripple, both physically and emotionally, after his wife’s confession the day before they were to be married. So, Arvin’s never-ending pain finds release only in hurting her. What he doesn’t know is that her secret sin was loving Arnav Saxena. Arnav turned his back on all of them when she discarded him and married his younger brother.
When he is forced to return, it sets Ananya on a collision course with fate and she chooses desire over duty to embark on an affair with Arnav. For a brief glorious time, they have it all. But soon, Ananya is faced with yet another life-changing decision when adultery, bankruptcy and a web of lies bring her to a crossroads.
<span lang="EN-US" style="color: #c00000; font-family: "Cambria",serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Personally 2022 was decent with nothing
much to complain and a lot more to be grateful about. Normal ups and downs we
all go through but as long as the power above is with us we should be just
happy and at peace.

<span lang="EN-US" style="color: #c00000; font-family: "Cambria",serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">2022 has also disturbed me with some shocking

has affected me deeper than I care to show.

<span lang="EN-US" style="color: #c00000; font-family: "Cambria",serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Hope to be more disciplined, positive and

A simple love story
that touches your heart. Spun around two families, the book talks more about

They are someone we cannot ignore.

A feel-good story that even engages relatives and their roles in our lives.

Soon after all the new channels, social networking sites all and sundry started talking about him and his greatness as a actor.

Now I won't say that I was his biggest fan and all but somehow his death seemed like a personal loss, like someone we knew of, promising ,self made and also intelligent.I
had noticed him in Pavitra Rishta and he looked promising. I am not a serial
buff but came to see him regularly in dance shows, movie trailers and award functions.
Like many he as MS Dhoni was when I realized his charm as an actor. A country
where cricket is religion and cricketers are Gods he played the man himself who
has a larger than life image and persona MS Dhoni.

Now
to copy someone’s mannerisms and playing styles is no mean feat. Hats off to
the way he transformed himself. The whole movie time he was Dhoni and not S S R. Now
that’s what I call talent. I became a fan.

His
choice of movies was different. He was a man of many talents and facets acting
being one of them. I liked the way he wore different hats and still managed to
be at the top of his game. I guess we all feel this as more personal because we
are used to see actors mostly from the industry background or even
school drop outs who have worked hard to crave a niche for themselves.

Sushant Singh was an exception to this and an actor who is well read, educated with topping
the Olympiads, talking about quantum physics, astronaut, who star gazes, can
write with both hands and more of all a dreamer who connected with his fans
also. Maybe he being someone among st us yet managing to dream about a different
kind of success which is rare is what bonds us.

Even
today seeing his fans and well wishers fighting to give him a closure he
deserves is heart warming. I still am unable to believe he is no more. I hope
and pray he is at peace wherever he is and always keep smiling.

Thank
you Sushant for all the memories, love and dreams you lived and wished to live. You
have inspired, touched hearts of many. You will always be remembered and

(Don't worry you are not alone) I also never used to like :( We all underrated the value of doing things in a routine so much that now routine is angry with us.

With the Pandemic bringing the world to a standstill and uncertainty looming large over our heads now all the time I wonder how underestimated routine was. Now with everyone cooped up at home and all the time #stayathome now we understand and realize the value of small things in life.

First being maskfree. Never thought we would have to keep our faces covered. A simple smile that we plaster when we see a acquaintance/ friend, the hifi we gave and the pat on head for the kids lovingly, everything seems like a distant dream and another era. The basic need to roaming or going for a walk or eating at a roadside thela without any worries , outing with friends and shopping in crowded places all now seem like a luxury.

Now this has so much become a routine that now i wonder how and what I used to do when the kiddo and hubby were out for most hours of the day?? I seem to have forgotten that routine. Will those days come back? Maybe yes but at what cost and when we don't know.

Till then let the new routine continue.
Kavita Rhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01078637259596693273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7427731337213348871.post-33541549176866840992021-04-01T20:13:00.003+05:302021-04-01T20:13:44.693+05:30Book Review #178 Love In Agartha : Sundari Venkatraman

Blurb:

Kollywood
superstar Chandrakanth, also known as CK, is a true-blue Scorpio,
communicating with his eyes and believing in showing more than
telling.
website and social media consultant Ranjini is a Piscean through and
is love at first glance for Chandrakanth when he meets Ranjini; so
strong are his feelings that he proposes marriage on their second
meeting. Ranjini, fascinated by his starry persona, gets swept off
her feet. The two get married without much of the world
knowing—including CK's aunt and his ex.
two women set out to settle their scores on Ranjini who suddenly
begins to feel a strain in what was a fairy tale wedding.

While
passion reigns on the one hand, there’s trouble in paradise on the
other. Although CK is by her side, the Scorpio in him expects her to
trust him implicitly. But can the Pisces in Ranjini accept him at his
word?

Does
the tension then get to their relationship? Can love survive without

getting married in such short time a good sign? Marriage is much more
than chemistry and attraction. When reality comes knocking after
marriage will they be able to stay together? Read the book to find
out.

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Blurb:

When having it all isn’t enough…

Aman and Rhea seem to have the perfect marriage. They are madly in love - with each other, with their own careers and the home and life they are building in a quiet Mumbai suburb.
Rhea is a successful interior designer with a thriving business while Aman is a commercial pilot who is at peace with his life, on the ground and in the skies! What could possibly be lacking in their picture-perfect marriage?

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">
A baby.

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Like most women, thirty plus Rhea Chakraborty, wants to hold her own flesh and blood in her arms. And Aman too wants the same.
Or does he?

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">After another unexplained miscarriage that takes a severe emotional, physical, and psychological toll on them, Aman isn't sure if having a baby will complete them or destroy them.

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Suddenly, Rhea and Aman find the fabric of their stable marriage fraying beneath the strain of their failed conceptions. Where once they were a team with a common goal, they now find themselves on opposite sides with shifting goalposts.

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">
A Barren Heart is set in so-called modern India and is the story of the struggle of an affluent, educated couple who are still fighting the shackles of societal indoctrination and expectations and losing each other in the process.

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">My Take:

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">
A strong emotional master piece by the author. A very powerful emotion love and the layers the same emotion brings in relationships.

A beautiful saga that explains marriage and relationships, the ups and downs. Aman and Rhea have a perfect marriage. With everything right for them, a successful life, perfect partner and wonderful career, things start changing between them from the time Rhea wishes to be a mother. A couple of miscarriages take a toll on their foundation of relationships. Suddenly they are two different people wanting different things in life.

How will they cope up with the change?? Will the baby/pregnancy be the end for them or a new beginning?? Read the book to find out.

Shilpa truly has brought the best out of the characters. The story stands tall in front of you. Loved the fiery Ishita, vivacious Amarya and the moments where family stands by her.

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I would rate this 4.5/5

Will Rimjhim finally find out why Arman disappeared that night?

Read this saga of love, betrayal and revenge to find out. In the third book of the Chance Encounter

My Take:

Arman and Rhimjhim have seen all. Their relationship had blossomed and crushed with the same intensity. This time, Pam is not going to take it lying down. For her twentieth anniversary, she resolves to throw the biggest, most glamorous party Dubai has ever seen- one that will outdo Honey's, whose own twentieth anniversary is a week before Pam's. But the going isn't easy, and Pam finds herself facing countless obstacles: an ex-flame who returns and sets her heart beating again, an indifferent husband who patronises and undermines her, a shockingly rude daughter who won't let Pam into her life, and last but not the least, an absconding worker whom she shelters. As Pam struggles to juggle all the different aspects of her life, will she be able to throw the mother of all parties?

My
Take:

A refreshing story spun around the glamorous city of Dubai and the high elite society. A sneak peak in the life of rich and famous, their insecurities, their thoughts and experiences and how the society views them.

Pam, wife of millionaire is a part of the elite clubs where people are judged all the time. Each move is scrutinized and commented upon. A society where only brands and status matters. This book talks about Pam’s journey and a party that she has to throw on her 20th Anniversary which for her is a personal challenge as she has to win by throwing a best party that would be remembered and talked for times to come.

I loved the way the story touches all the aspects of life and relationships. Pam has a teenage daughter who rebels all the time, thanks to her super busy social life and a business to run. Pam in spite of trying her best to fit in or make time ,somewhere all this takes a toll on her relationship with her children. Her Ex flame working with her husband who is now only committed to business complicate things for her. She craves for attention from her husband and time, a phase all marriages go through. The comeback of her ex whom she’s attracted to poses a challenge to her.

How does she deal with all this? What happens when she is facing a challenging situation where in helping an innocent can put brakes to her husband’s hard-work and reputation? Will Pam be able to really throw a party to remember? Read the book to find out.

The story commands attention from the word go. The title is interesting, but trust me there is much more to the story than what the title suggests. A simple way of narrating a story that keeps you hooked till the end. The mother daughter relationship and the husband wife complexities are highlighted well. A book with some real beautiful moments touches the hearts of the readers.

Rating:

I would rate this 4.7/5

Kavita Rhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01078637259596693273noreply@blogger.com0
